A few weeks ago Plum Organics asked me to create a recipe using one of their products for their Little Foodies Cookbox.  You all know how much I love sneaking extra nutrition into the meals around here.  Using ready-made vegetable purees in your recipes makes it easier than ever to get your kids to eat their veggies.  And Plum Organics uses 100% organic ingredients, without any added salt or sugar.  Perfect.

The Turkey Meatballs I made were happily gobbled down by everyone, adults included.  They were such a big hit that I’ve made them three times this month!  An instant family favorite.  They’re full of super healthy stuff, including Spinach, Peas & Pear but no one suspects a thing!  I love it when our meals are filled with smiles and giggles instead of the dreaded standoff over what’s on the kids’ plates.

The meatballs are light, tender, and full of flavor, and effortless to make.  They pair perfectly with the pasta salad, which is tossed with fresh, summery vegetables and herbs, along with luscious fresh mozzarella cheese.  I’m pretty sure I could eat this for a week and still want more.

    Oh! I pinned a pic of those yummy meatballs to “Food I’d like to eat.” board *crossing fingers!* I often have a hard time eating turkey ground but the addition of the veggies will really get the taste buds soaring. The Plum Spinach , Pea and Pear is one of the view veggies that my picky little one will eat! A win all around!

    Not only do I love sneaking healthy nutrious substitutes in for my kids but my husband is diabetic and still doesn’t like to eat healthy! These recipes make me fell better in knowing I am doing my best to keep everyone as healthy as I can in my family. Keep up the good work!
