Success Stories from the Six Week All Natural Challenge – ADHD Diet

Here are a few of the inspiring emails I’ve gotten in response to the All Natural Challenge.  If you’re wondering whether you could benefit from eating an all natural diet then you should definitely take these stories to heart.  I know I did.  Thank you to all of you for sharing your amazing transformations with me.  These stories are exactly why I write this blog.

“I read your articles that popped up in Circle of Moms. It couldn’t have come at a better moment. I had up to that point spent most of my days in constant battle with my 3 year old daughter. Most of the time I would end up in tears wondering what I was doing wrong. She was a terror and as much as I am ashamed to admit this I didn’t like her very much. I was looking for an answer something besides what my degree in Psych were telling me. Anything, to say she wasn’t ADHD. So, I read your articles, did the research, and tried a 4 day trial. And well now I am crying again. I have my child whom I not only love but like too! She is calm can sit through dinner, doesn’t run like a madman up and down the hallway. Says please, thank you, and excuse me. She is the envy of children and parents everywhere. I can’t begin to thank you enough for sharing. It couldn’t have come at a better time. Sorry for the long post but I just had to say something.”  – Sheena C. (via Facebook)

“Let me begin by saying, “Thank You!”  GOD is so good!  I am very thankful for you and what you have taken on as “our family eats” with the All Natural Challenge.  I can’t even begin to tell you what improvements I’ve seen in myself, let alone my 8 year old son.
I don’t know where to start, really.  Your recipes are AWESOME!  My southern, sweet-tea drinking kind of husband is very happy!  My son, has been very open to trying new things.  So I actually enjoy cooking, now.  It’s no longer a chore.  You have made it so very easy.
For years I’ve dealt with continuous headaches, sinus infections, fatigue & what I call “walking in a fog.”  I’ve gone to several different doctors been given prescriptions, but all to no avail.
Quite honestly, I never thought about food.  To my amazement I am over joyed with the results I’ve seen thus far. Continue the good work.” – Sabrina R. (via email)

“The day before you started your challenge, my almost five year old daughter had another major meltdown/tantrum/loss of control. I had had enough. When my husband got home that night I sat him down and explained my concerns and that I thought we needed to take her to our pediatrician for her behavior. He agreed and it was a sad time for us. Our daughter has always been “high needs” and can be a lot of fun to be around. However, when she has a tantrum, she loses all self control. The tantrum she had on the day before we started the challenge, she ended up throwing a desk chair that was in her room, among other things. Chair throwing from a four year old????? I knew something had to change. That’s not normal (well, it was starting to become that in our house). This challenge happened at the perfect time.

Fast forward to 24 hours after stopping the artificial colors and flavors. Our four year old was back to “normal.” She still has some tantrums (what four year old doesn’t?) but she has not lost control AT ALL. No chair throwing, no hitting!!!! HUGE accomplishment for us. My husband has now told me to throw out all the food with artificial stuff in it and we are both BIG believers and even more importantly, we are BOTH committed to keeping this junk out of our lives.

Thank you very much for getting us started on the right path in manageable steps with clear directions and tips. We have been trying to change for years, but really didn’t have a form grip on exactly WHAT to change…. Your challenge is providing all the information we need. Thank you again.” – Jennifer W. I started reading your blog and decided to do the 6 week challenge.  It’s been quite a change for us, baking from scratch and all, but…the third day of school this year his teacher told me what a great day he had that day…I’ve NEVER heard that this soon in the school year for him.  I never heard that last year until around May!  He got three WOW tickets (a reward in his kindergarten class) yesterday at school for sitting still on the carpet, I’ve always heard that he has trouble sitting in his seat and disturbs the other kids in class.

I’m literally sitting here crying thinking about all the changes that have happened in just a few short weeks, it really has been amazing.  I’ve told everyone I know about your blog and wanted to thank you.  My son is doing well in school and at home, my 3 year old daughter has been sitting at the table and eating all her meals instead of screaming no and leaving the kitchen as soon as we say it’s time to eat and I can’t help but smile thinking about what the choices I’m making already for my 6 month old…now if only I could get my husband to eat healthier icon smile Success Stories | ADHD Diet   Thank you so much for the work you do, our family appreciates it!!  - Lindsay Y (via email)
